10 second timer

What ten seconds is for
- Tabata rest. The classic Tabata timer alternates 20 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest. Set 10 seconds here with Repeat on and count beeps: two for work, one for rest.
- Sprint starts. Give athletes a ten-second countdown to the line, then switch to the stopwatch for the run.
- Breath holds. Inhale, hold for the full ring, exhale slowly. Build up to the 15 second timer once ten feels easy.
- Counting to ten with kids. The shrinking ring shows a toddler what "ten more seconds" looks like, which makes leaving the playground a little easier.
- Quiz buzzers. Ten seconds to answer, then the alarm. Press R and Space for the next question.
Repeat for intervals
Tick Repeat and the ten seconds run back to back until you press Space to pause. Each round runs a second or so longer than ten seconds because the alarm plays before the restart. For a one-off countdown leave Repeat off and the "Time's up" overlay will wait for you.
Reading the ring
The blue ring empties clockwise, one tenth per second. In fullscreen (press F) it is large enough to read from across a gym floor. The 20 second timer and 30 second timer work the same way for longer rounds.

How do I repeat the 10 second timer?

Can I make it 10 seconds of work and 20 of rest?
Keep the 10 second length with Repeat on and count beeps: work for one beep, rest for two. The timer only runs one length, so counting is the simplest workaround.
Why does the alarm sound longer than the timer?
Each alarm plays three short bursts over about three seconds. Pick Beep for the shortest sound, or Silent with Notify if you only want a visual cue.
