Repeat timer

A free repeat timer that restarts itself every time it hits zero. Tick one box and the countdown loops until you stop it, which most phone timers cannot do without an extra app. Also searched as repeating timer, loop timer, recurring timer, cycle timer.

How Repeat works

Rounds run a second or so longer than the set time because of the restart gap. For a gym session that does not matter; for lab work, add the second yourself.

Common repeat setups

Unequal work and rest

Only one length repeats, so pick the shorter unit and count beeps. Tabata is 20 seconds on, 10 off: set 10 seconds, work for two beeps, rest for one. The tabata timer and interval timer pages list the common schemes and the beep counts for each.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make the timer repeat?

Tick the Repeat box under the timer, then press Start. When the countdown reaches zero the alarm plays and the same length starts again about a second later.

How do I stop a repeating timer?

Press Reset or untick Repeat. Untick it before you leave if you do not want it next time, because the setting is remembered in your browser.

Can it repeat with different work and rest lengths?

Not directly; one length repeats. Set the timer to the shorter unit and count beeps: for 40 seconds work and 20 rest, set 20 seconds and work through two beeps, rest for one.
