Exam timer

A free exam timer that opens on one hour and can run silently with a desktop notification, so a practice test feels like the real room. Phones are banned in most test centers, so practicing with one trains the wrong habit. Also searched as test timer, exam countdown, timed test timer.

Practicing under time

The week before

Do at least two full-length timed practice tests with the same breaks as the real exam. Fatigue in the last section is a timing problem, not a knowledge problem, and only a full run reveals it.

Shorter drills fit the 35 minute timer for an ACT English section or the 1 hour timer for a math block. The countdown timer accepts any length up to 99 hours, and the study timer covers the review sessions in between.
