90 minute timer

A free 90 minute timer with big digits, a progress ring and an alarm you can choose. That is one and a half hours, shown as 1:30:00. This page is set to 1:30:00, so you skip the hours-and-minutes entry a phone asks for. Also searched as 90 min timer, 1.5 hour timer, one and a half hour timer, timer 90 minutes.

Why 90 minutes

Ninety minutes matches a sleep cycle, a full soccer match and the deep-work block many productivity writers recommend. It is also the upper limit for most stovetop beans.

What fits in 90 minutes

Soaked dried beans simmered on the stovetop (60 to 90 minutes)
A full soccer match: two 45-minute halves
One 90-minute deep-work block, followed by a real break
A dishwasher normal cycle (90 to 120 minutes on most models)
A playdate with a clear end time

Tip for this length

Type 1:30:00 in the editor, or add ?h=1&m=30 to the address. Both set the same 90 minutes; ?m=90 works too.

Frequently asked questions

Is 90 minutes a good nap length?

It covers one full sleep cycle, so you are more likely to wake from light sleep. The nap timer page compares 20 and 90 minute naps.

Should I use 90 minutes or Pomodoro for studying?

Try both. Pomodoro suits tasks that are easy to start. A 90-minute block suits work that needs a long warm-up, like writing or coding.

Does the timer survive closing the laptop?

Sleep mode stops the alarm. The end time is saved, so when you reopen the page it shows the right remaining time, but you may have missed the sound.
